Family business since 1948
AVT Wiring & Connecting was founded as a trading company in 1948 by August van Teeffelen (1917-1965). The portfolio originally consisted of products for the electrical engineering industry, such as terminal blocks (mostly made of ceramics at the time) and accessories for installing wire and cable, such as cable trunking and grommets to name a few. After his early death in 1965 the company was continued by Antoine van Teeffelen. Connectors and accessories for printed circuit boards were added to the expertise over the years. On request of sereval customers, a daughter company Agco was founded in the seventies to assembly custom specific wire & cable harnesses. Finally, in 1976 subsidiary company Givatec was established in Leuven to serve the Belgian market.
In 2001, the company relocated to Eindhoven, the most important center of the manufacturing industry in The Netherlands. Since 2012 the third generation is at the helm. Our extensive automated production capabilities but most of all the expertise and efforts of our employees in both technical and logistical areas, allow our customers to concentrate on the things that are important to them. This constitutes a strong base for a joint future.

Our test facilities are very complete. Not only do we test the quality of the connections and, by means of a high-voltage test, the integrity of the insulating material. We also test the functionality of the complete wire harness. Including the switching behaviour of relays and other components. Each test is stored digitally and a hard copy can be included in each delivery.

On request AVT Wiring & Connecting is able to manufacture according to customer´s specifications and according to UL Wiring Harnesses ZPFW2 and ZPFW8.

IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard
IPC/WHMA-A-620 remains the only industry-consensus standard for requirements and acceptance of cable and wire harness assemblies. These include materials, methods, tests and acceptance criteria for the production of crimped, mechanically fastened or soldered connections and the associated assembly operations. If a cable assembly is produced according to one of the described methods, the quality is guaranteed. You can rely on this. IPC WHMA-A-620 is about global best practices. So whether you do business in North America, Europe, Asia, or anywhere else, IPC WHMA-A-620 is applicable. Many companies offer wire harnessing and custom cable assembly services, but not every manufacturer has IPC WHMA-A-620 certified employees. Achieving this certification is a process, but the benefits are well-worth the effort. Employees develop skills and demonstrate competence. We have an IPC WHMA-A-620 certified trainer in our team here at our manufacturing center in Eindhoven.
